Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the present proposals to add to the number of beds, and for structural alterations, at Ongar War Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Crossman

None.

Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the occupancy of beds at the Ongar War Memorial Hospital during the first three months of 1969; and what increase this represents during the last year.

Mr. Crossman

16.66 or 73.6 per cent. of available beds; the corresponding figures for 1968 were 14.41 (65.5 per cent.).

Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the monthly average of treatments given by the physiotherapist at the Ongar War Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Crossman

In 1968 attendances for individual treatments average 415 per month.

Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the cost of maintaining a patient at Ongar War Memorial Hospital; and what is the cost at other hospitals within the same group.

Mr. Crossman

The costs for inpatients during 1967–68 were as follows:
