Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what progress he has made in his discussions with those responsible for occupational pensions schemes; and whether he has now come to a decision as to the terms on which he intends to permit an occupational pension to take the place of pensions provided under his proposed scheme.
§ Mr. CrossmanGood progress is being made in exploratory discussions and I hope that substantive consultations can start soon after Easter. It would be wrong for me to reach decisions on these matters in advance of the consultations.
