Mr. Braineasked the President of the Board of Trade what further recommendations have been made to the Government by his explosives experts about salvaging the munitions cargo of the wreck of the S.S. "Richard Montgomery" in the Thames Estuary, following their advice in 1967 that such salvage would involve a greater risk of explosion, would put the lives of the salvage team in danger, and would create a hazard to the surrounding population.
