§ 43. Mr. Fordasked the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs if he will make a statement on his programme for consultation with industry, set out in Chapter X of the Economic Assessment.
§ Mr. ShoreConsultations are now under way, or will commence shortly, with all the industries selected for detailed discussion. The consultations are being conducted through the Economic Development Committees or other appropriate bodies. I have discussed the arrangements generally with E.D.C. chairmen. The intention is that the consultations should be completed and the results submitted to the National Economic Development Council towards the end of the year.
