asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what is the average number of parking meters for which a traffic warden is responsible in each of the parking meter zones where these have been introduced;

(2) if he will state the number of traffic wardens employed by each local authority outside London.

The number of traffic wardens employed on 28th February last by provincial police authorities in England and Wales were:
