§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from the Gaelic Society of London this month regarding the future of the Gaelic language and the practical steps to be taken to foster it; and what reply he has sent to each of their proposals.
§ Mr. RossMy right hon. Friend the Prime Minister and I received last month copies of a resolution which contained a number of proposals about the status and development of Gaelic. I am now considering the resolution and I hope to reply to the society shortly.
