§ Mr. M. StewartI regret to say that the Chinese continue their unjustified detention of British subjects.
The Head of our Mission in Peking made further representations on 8th March to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No satisfactory reply was given to his requests for information and for Consular access to those detained.
We shall continue to press the Chinese to release all British subjects detained.
