§ Mr. Harold WalkerIn the last six months the Manpower and Productivity Service has been in contact with some 1,500 undertakings, in 60 per cent. of cases at the direct request of the company.
Information is not available on the number of new agreements between employers and trade unions based on the advice given by the M.P.S. but officials of the service are constantly working with managers and trade union officers with the object of improving performance and conditions of employment by agreement. Subjects include wage and salary structures, productivity agreements, manpower plans, organisation systems and procedures and industrial relations generally.
