HC Deb 21 March 1969 vol 780 c191W
Mr. Bryant Godman Irvine

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many houses were built by local authority direct labour departments, and by other public authority direct labour departments, respectively, during 1967 and 1968, respectively.

Mr. MacColl

In England and Wales local authority direct labour departments built 9,600 houses in 1967 and 2,120 in the first quarter of 1968 (the latest period for which figures are available).

Figures are not available for houses built by other public authority direct labour departments.
