§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will send a circular to local authorities in areas of housing shortage requesting them to provide his Department with quarterly statistics of unoccupied council houses and flats, including the length of time during which each council house or flat has been vacant and an explanation by the local authority of any vacancy lasting more than four weeks.
§ Mr. MacCollNo. While my right hon. Friend appreciates the great importance of making full use of unoccupied council dwellings he has to rely on the good management practice of housing authorities to achieve that end.
