§ Miss Jennie LeeThere are about 4,800 paintings and drawings. Of these approximately 1,150 are on permanent exhibition in the Gallery, 550 normally on loan and 3,100 in store. Many of those in store are not of sufficient interest to the general public to justify their exhibition even if space were available.
