Mr. Edward M. Taylorasked the Minister of Technology whether he now proposes to promote a merger between Upper Clyde Shipbuilders and Scott Lithgow; and if he will make a statement
§ Mr. FowlerWe consider that the ultimate emergence of a single grouping on the Clyde would be in the interests of Scottish shipbuilding; but this is primarily a matter for the shipbuilders concerned in consultation, as they think necessary, with the Shipbuilding Industry Board.
