§ Mr. Emrys Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will obtain from the chief constable concerned a report of the weekly expenditure now incurred in the paying of the Ayrshire Police at the office of the burgh of Ayr; and what new office equipment has been bought for this purpose.
§ Mr. RossI have been informed by the police authority that the cost of paying the Ayrshire police is estimated to be in the region of £70 each week and that an additional cash register accounting machine has been purchased at a cost of £3,000.
