HC Deb 06 March 1969 vol 779 c150W
Mr. Woof

asked the Postmaster-General what sections of the Post Office Savings Department he proposes to move to Durham.

Mr. Stonehouse

The whole of the Savings Certificate Office of the Department for National Savings is in course of moving to Durham. The move is expected to be completed in about a year's time.

It is not yet possible to give further information about plans for the establishment of other Savings Department work in Durham, but I hope that a statement will not be long delayed.
