§ 72. Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will initiate discussions on the desirability of a social budget, to project likely demands and costs of the various social services into the mid-1970s.
§ Mr. DiamondThe medium and long term development of the social services are closely studied as part of the continuing scrutiny of public expenditure as a whole. These developments must be considered with the projections for other public expenditure and revenue and for the economy as a whole.
