HC Deb 04 March 1969 vol 779 cc88-9W
Mr. Wright

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what advice he has given to the National Health Service Executive Council in Glasgow in order to improve the supply of doctors for Priesthill, Glasgow.

Mr. Ross

None. Any action which may be needed to improve the supply of family doctors in the National Health Service in an area is one for the Executive Council and for the Scottish Medical Practices Committee, the central body concerned under statute with the distribution of family doctors in the service. The area is not among those listed by the Committee as in need of additional doctors; and I understand there are two doctors with premises less than half a mile from Priesthill and four more less than a mile away.
