asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give in respect of the hotel and catering industry the value to the industry of capital allowances for tax purposes to which it was entitled in 1965–66 and for the latest available year.

The estimated amount of tax relief to the trade group "Other Services" (which includes the catering trades) was about £44 million in 1965–66 and about £34 million in 1967–68.
