§ Mr. CrossmanFor patients for whom rail transport is considered most suitable, local health authorities make arrangements direct with British Rail. An entire compartment is reserved where necessary; otherwise the patient travels as an ordinary passenger in a reserved seat. Stretcher patients cannot be conveyed in trains which have no separate compartments.
