§ Mr. Nottasked the Minister of Technology if he will give the total value of expenditure from public funds on computer research, development and trials in the current financial year; and if he will list the Government or other research establishments at which this work is being carried out, showing the expenditure at each establishment.
§ Dr. BraySeparate figures are not readily available for expenditure on research and development directed towards improved computer equipment and similar expenditure on new applications for computers. The estimates given below for 1968–69 therefore cover both computers and computer applications. 41W With very minor exceptions military work is excluded:
