§ 58. Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many requests he receives from parents of boys who enter the Services for their release after the first few years; and if he will now alter the regulations relating to the release of boy recruits from the Services.
§ Mr. BoydenThere are no separate records of the numbers of requests received from parents of boys for their release after the first few years.
As for the alteration of present regulations I would refer my hon. Friend to the statement made by my late right hon. Friend the Minister of Defence for Administration on 16th December, 1968. I have nothing to add to that statement.—[Vol. 775, c. 903–4.]
