Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many teachers currently employed by the education authorities of the counties of Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and Dumbartonshire, respectively, have failed to re-register with the General Teaching Council since 1st April; and if he will give an undertaking that no action will be taken against them.

At 9th June the position was as set out below. As to the second part of the Question, the answer is "No".
