asked the Secretary of State for Wales what was the volume of timber harvested by Forestry Commission labour, and the amount sold standing to merchants for the last forest year; and what are the forecasts for the current year.

In Wales during the year ended 31st March, 1969, 2.3 million hoppus feet were felled by Forestry Commission labour and 2.7 million hoppus feet were sold standing. It is estimated that the corresponding figures for the year ending 31st March, 1970, will be 2.6 million and 3.3 million hoppus feet respectively.
