30. Mr. Stainton

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will take steps in order to encourage local housing authorities and other developers to co-operate with electricity boards in their efforts to install externally read meters in new houses.

Mr. MacColl

The Department is already encouraging the use of externally read meters where practicable.
