§ Mr. MulleyThe Radio-active Substances Act, 1960, lays down conditions for the disposal of radio-active waste at 185W sea which are in accordance with the recommendations of an expert panel of the International Atomic Energy Agency and are generally more stringent than those recommended by the panel. Non-radio-active wastes dumped outside British territorial waters are subject to a voluntary system of control designed to ensure that suitable locations are selected and appropriate containers used.
