§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister whether he has now received the report of the Plowden Committee on pay for the higher paid civil servants; whether he proposes to implement the proposed increases; what will be the average cash increase and percentage increase in existing salaries; and whether he will seek to apply such increases uniformly to all civil servants and employees of the State, including nurses and hospital workers, and to Ministers and Members of Parliament.
