§ Mr. Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will seek to extend the existing officially supported British/German Youth Exchange Scheme to other member states of the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. FoleyHer Majesty's Government are conscious of the need to balance the existing exchanges conducted with Western Germany by increased exchanges with other Western European countries and are considering how these might be encouraged. We believe, however, that in this country the main impetus must come from voluntary initiative.
