HC Deb 16 June 1969 vol 785 c15W
Sir W. Bromley-Davenport

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will refer the recent increases in the charges for private beds in hospitals to the National Board for Prices and Incomes.

Mr. Crossman

The charges now in force were determined by me in accordance with the provisions of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968.

They reflect actual costs, averaged within classes of hospitals, and are consistent with the Government's prices and incomes policy.
