§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, until the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics applies to Mr. Gerald Brooke the full benefits of the Anglo-Soviet Consular Convention, he will withdraw or suspend that part of Home Office Circular No. 83/1969 which advises chief police officers of the rights of Soviet nationals, arrested in Great Britain, to have prompt and recurrent access to Soviet consuls.
