asked the Minister of Public Building and Works whether he will now name the areas selected for special study by his committee on building maintenance; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Loughlin

Studies are proceeding in the areas outlined in the Committee's interim report. These include: the effect of Government action, such as taxation, on maintenance; maintenance technology and the designer's rôle in reducing avoidable maintenance, the structure and productivity of maintenance organisation; and the relationship between contractors and small private clients.

Further studies are tinder consideration.
