§ Mr. Patrick Jenkinasked the Attorney-General if he will give what information is available of the number of court orders made in matrimonial proceedings in each of the five years before 19th March, 1968, by which separate maintenance payments were ordered to be made for the benefit of an infant child or ward of one of the parties to the marriage.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI regret that the information is not available and it could not be provided without inquiries being made at over 1,000 courts. In each case it would be necessary for a great deal of time to be spent to extract the information from the court's records. This would involve an amount of work and expense which would not, in my view, be justified.
