§ 40. Mr. Buckasked the Minister of Transport if he will take immediate steps to provide for the extension of the 40 miles-per-hour speed limit on the A12 trunk road to cover that stretch of road on which Meur-Betts and Company have their factory entrance.
Mr. Bob BrownNo. This length of road does not meet the Department's criteria for a 40 m.p.h. speed limit and a limit would not be a satisfactory means of dealing with the situation. I am, however, sending the hon. Member a fuller explanation.
