§ Mr. G. Elfed Daviesasked the Minister of Transport what consideration is being given to the use of the Welsh language on vehicle excise licence discs; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MarshMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales and I have considered this matter and, subject to further consultations with other authorities concerned, I hope that it will be possible to complete the essential preparations to enable bi-lingual vehicle licence discs to be available for issue in Wales and Monmouthshire by 1st January, 1970.
