HC Deb 25 July 1969 vol 787 cc606-7W
Mr. McNamara

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that there has been a delay of several years in the settlement of the claim by the Inland Revenue against a firm, details of which have been sent to him, which is now in liquidation; and when he expects to achieve a settlement.

Mr. Harold Lever

The position is substantially the same as it was when I wrote to my hon. Friend on 13th March. The Inspector of Taxes is still waiting for the accountant's computations of the company's final tax liabilities, and until these are received there is little that he can do.
