Mr. Hugh Jenkins

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he now expects that the report of the European Commission of Human Rights on Greece will be published.

Mr. Whitlock

The first step is for the European Commission of Human Rights to transmit its report to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. In its resolution of 6th May, the Committee of Ministers expressed the hope that

the commission would do this as soon as possible. Thereafter it will be for the Committee of Ministers to decide on the publication of the report.
