§ Mr. Channonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will order an inquiry into the case of Mrs. H. L. Challis of Leigh-on-Sea, details of which have been given to him by the hon. Member for Southend, West, in regard to her request for new glasses from the Southend-on-Sea Executive Council.
§ Mr. SnowI made inquiries into this case when the hon. Member wrote to me about it last November, and I communicated the results of these inquiries to him. The Southend-on-Sea Executive Council appears to have handled the case entirely properly, and I do not think that further inquiry is necessary.
