HC Deb 24 July 1969 vol 787 c437W
Mr. Channon

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will order an inquiry into the case of Mrs. H. L. Challis of Leigh-on-Sea, details of which have been given to him by the hon. Member for Southend, West, in regard to her request for new glasses from the Southend-on-Sea Executive Council.

Mr. Snow

I made inquiries into this case when the hon. Member wrote to me about it last November, and I communicated the results of these inquiries to him. The Southend-on-Sea Executive Council appears to have handled the case entirely properly, and I do not think that further inquiry is necessary.
