HL Deb 24 July 1969 vol 304 c1171WA
LORD INGLEWOOD

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What steps they are taking to ensure that imports of skimmed milk powder do not disrupt the home market both for milk products and indirectly for liquid milk.

LORD BESWICK

Imports have been falling substantially in recent years and home production has been increasing markedly. My right honourable friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is, however, watching the situation closely and will have full regard to the representations recently made to him on the matter by the milk industry.
