HC Deb 24 July 1969 vol 787 c421W
52. Mr. A. Royle

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list any defects that have become apparent on Rover 3.5 litre motor cars used by the Metropolitan Police caused by faulty workmanship or design, and the number of days that each car has been off the road due to rectification of faults.

Mr. Elystan Morgan

One of the cars of this make which is in use by the Metropolitan Police has been off the road for 10 days, during which the manufacturers put right defects in lubrication and engine tuning. Certain minor defects have been remedied in the course of routine maintenance.
