§ Mr. Elystan MorganBetween 9th October and 31st December, 1967, breath tests were required under Section 2(1) and (2) of the Road Safety Act, 1967, in 468 cases. The figure for the whole of 1968 was 3,519. Statistics of prosecutions relating directly to those cases are not available; but during 1967 there were 603 and during 1968 there were 1,516 prosecutions for all drink-and-driving offences under the Road Traffic Act, 1960 and the Road Safety Act, 1967.
