§ Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland to what extend the outbreak of scabies that took place in Midlothian has been contained; and what steps are being taken to prevent similar outbreaks.
§ Mr. RossThe number of cases in Midlothian in 1967–68 represented about 1 in 250 of the school population. Complete figures for the current school year are not yet available, but the Medical Officer of Health has informed me that there has been a marked reduction. My Department is making posters and leaflets about the treatment of this disease available to local health authorities.
