§ Mr. FernyhoughDuring the financial year 1968–69, 14,041 people were trained under the Government Vocational Training Scheme at an average cost per head of £777. The total cost to my Department was £10,910,000 including administrative costs but not allied services provided by other Departments. It is not possible to apportion the expenditure precisely between economic planning regions, but the numbers trained in each region were as follows:
