§ 58. Mr. Ted Leadbitterasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many teachers employed in primary, secondary and technical schools, respectively, are in receipt of a salary of less than £15 per week net; what proportion of the total staffing this represents; and what steps he is now taking to improve the salary negotiation machinery and encourage fully represented joint consultative bodies between teachers, local authorities and his Department to deal with disputes and conditions of employment.
