§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Postmaster-General when the present interest for deposits in the Post Office Savings Bank was first estblished at 2½ per cent. per annum; and on the basis of the then purchasing power of 6d., by how much he estimates the 2½ per cent. per annum requires to be increased to restore the present 6d. in the £ to its original purchasing value.
