§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the growing problem 163W of all aspects of drug taking, he will appoint a committee of high ranking police officers, churchmen, social welfare workers, doctors, lawyers and representatives of the drugs trade to go into all aspects of this problem and to report on measures to strengthen the law on the sale and distribution of drugs.
§ Mr. Elystan MorganThe Standing Advisory Committee on Drug Dependence under the chairmanship of Sir Edward Wayne was appointed in 1967 to keep this problem under review and advise on remedial measures.
