§ 48. Mr. Doigasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what percentage of the houses now being built for Scottish local authorities are of a non-traditional type.
§ 55. Mr. John Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what proportion of houses has been built by industrialised building in each of the last two years; and what difficulties in structures have emerged.
§ Dr. Dickson MabonIn 1967 and 1968, 36 per cent. and 33 per cent. respectively of public sector houses approved were to be built by industrialised methods. For local authorities only the proportions were 32 per cent. and 27 per cent. The only major structural difficulty of which I am aware is the potential design weakness in certain kinds of construction revealed by the collapse of Ronan Point.
