§ Mr. Buchananasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what action he has taken to ensure that the Corporation of Glasgow carries out its duty under Part 7 of the Housing (Scotland) Act, 1966, to provide sufficient new houses to meet the housing needs of the citizens of Glasgow.
§ Mr. RossMy hon. Friend, the Minister of State has discussed the needs of the114W city with representatives of the corporation on many occasions in the last four years, most recently on 13th June when he impressed on them the need for a more active approach to replacement of unsatisfactory housing and urged the Corporation to build for the purpose not only within but also outside the city boundaries.
