Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in accordance with the normal practice of investigating

to tax due in respect of each financial year back to 1960–61.

suspected contravention of exchange control, he has now done so with regard to the case submitted to him by the hon. Member for West Ham, North; and whether he will forward the evidence available to him, which appears to justify a prosecution, to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
