asked the Minister of Transport when construction of the Sudbury by-pass road in Derbyshire will commence.

It is too early yet to give a firm date for the start of work on this by-pass.

The proposed line was published on 27th March and the two objections received are now being considered. Proposals for the associated side road works were published on 8th July and are still in their statutory objection period.
