§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Minister of Technology what request he has had from M. Raymond Mondon, the French Transport Minister, for an early meeting to discuss the Concorde project.
§ Mr. BennM. Mondon has not made any formal request for a meeting with me, but we hope to be meeting within the next month or two.
§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Minister of Technology how many options have 335W now been taken out on Concorde; and how many options will be needed to make this a profitable project.
§ Mr. Benn74 delivery positions have been reserved for 16 airlines. We hope that there will be sufficient Concordes sold to make a profit on production and to recover part of the development costs. The number of sales necessary to achieve this will depend on the final development and production costs.
§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Minister of Technology if he has now received any representations to put back the already delayed production schedule of the Concorde project; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BennNo representations have been received but discussions on the phasing of the programme are in progress.
