§ Mr. Adam Hunterasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the total number of employees, including administrative staff and other personnel, employed in the production of electricity in nuclear power stations in Scotland; and if he will estimate the number there will be in each of the next five years.
§ Mr. RossI understand that the number employed at Hunterston A nuclear power station is 640 (excluding apprentices). The engagement of staff for the Hunterston B station will begin shortly, and the South of Scotland Electricity Board estimate that the total numbers employed at the two stations (excluding apprentices) will be:
