§ 29. Mr. Hooleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will now study further the possibility of introducing an 214W interest equalisation tax to discourage the flow of capital out of this country to other advanced industrial countries.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsPresent arrangements under exchange control and the voluntary programme go a good deal further than the interest equalisation tax. They are working well and I see no reason for modifying them.
